Tindall picks up first Weymouth win

Former AFC Bournemouth utility man Jason Tindall picked up his first win as Weymouth player-manager last night.

2 goals from on loan Cherries winger James Coutts helped the Conference side to a 3-1 win over Gravesend & Northfleet.

Tindall told the Dorset Echo

‘I am very pleased but I always knew that our first win would come sooner rather than later.

‘James was a little bit unfortunate to be left out of the starting line up tonight…’

‘At half-time we brought on James and Brian Dutton for Scott Dixon and Danny Phillips, and in the second half we went out and put on a great performance.

‘James was fantastic. Not only did he do well going forward but he was also tremendous defensively. I always knew there was more to come from him and tonight he was the James Coutts I know he can be.’
