AFC Bournemouth assistant manager Jason Tindall has praised midfielder Emerson Hyndman following his summer move to the club from Fulham.
The 20 year old United States of America international made the move to Dean Court before the start of pre-season with the Championship club agreeing a fee of around £750,000 with the Cherries.
He unfortunately went on to pick up an ankle injury during the pre-season training camp in Chicago, but has since made two appearances for AFC Bournemouth with both games coming in the EFL Cup to Morecambe and Preston.
Tindall told the Daily Echo…
‘Emerson is doing fantastically well. He’s got a huge amount of potential and some fantastic qualities.
‘We like Emerson a lot. He is a young kid who is learning every day and progressing in the right way and I think he is going to be a real asset for this football club.
‘He is a great professional and a great lad who trains exceptionally well.
‘With the young players we’ve signed, we’ve signed them because we believe they are going to go on to become exceptional players and we’re looking forward to seeing their potential.’
‘too early to judge – the position he plays I would argue does not need to be a physical presence. A few more games and he will learn his role. – Join the conversation here.
