AFC Bournemouth winger Junior Stanislas would like the side to replicate their win against Chelsea from their first season in the Premier League.

After winning promotion to the top flight of English football after winning the Championship, the Cherries travelled to the home of the then Premier League champions Chelsea in December 2015.

Live in front of the Sky Sports cameras, AFC Bournemouth pulled off an upset in a game that proved to be one of the last of Jose Mourinho’s time at Stamford Bridge.

The Cherries would later go on to beat Manchester United later that week.

Stanislas told the Daily Echo

‘…I always enjoy it, I like going there. We`ve lost a couple of times but we beat them there the first season after we came up so I have some happy memories.

“Hopefully, we can create the same sort of result when we go there next time.’

Discussing his season so far, he added…

“…It is frustrating when you get injured but I`ve been working hard behind the scenes and it was good to come on and get some minutes against West Ham.

“It`s probably been my most frustrating season in terms of injuries. It has been nothing serious but I would maybe play five or six games and then get a niggle and have to build up and go again…’

I’ll never get tired of saying how good Stanislas is. He’s our most creative player, biggest goal threat from midfield, set piece wizard. Just needs to stay fit!Join the conversation here.
