Championship sides Burnley, Huddersfield Town, Hull City, Middlesbrough, Norwich City and Sunderland have all been linked with an interest in AFC Bournemouth utility man Robbie Brady.

The 30-year-old is out-of-contract at Dean Court after the Republic Of Ireland international signed a short-term deal on the south coast in October 2021.

Last month afcb.co.uk announced their released and retained list, which included Gary Cahill leaving Dean Court after the expiry of his similar short-term contract.

However, Brady was not included on the list, with a brief comment which read…

“Discussions remain ongoing between Republic of Ireland international Robbie Brady and the club, while options have been exercised on the contracts of Brooklyn Genesini, Jake Scrimshaw and Sam Sherring.”

teamTALK have reported that “Bournemouth have yet to trigger a 12-month extension on the player’s short-term deal that expired last month” and with the Dubliner’s future unknown there are reportedly 6 Championship sides all monitoring the situation.

According to the report “it is believed that all of his ex-employers are keeping tabs on his situation” which includes Hull City where he spent 2011-2015, Norwich City who he played for between 2015 and 2017 and Burnley where he was between 2017 and 2021.

On top of his former clubs showing an interest, talkSPORT added…

“…Middlesbrough, Huddersfield and Sunderland are also being linked with an interest in the classy midfielder.”
