AFC Bournemouth players and staff have donated a signed shirt for auction by a special school in Poole in desperate need of new equipment.

Winchelsea Special School, which was part of the Building Schools for the Future scheme until it was scrapped last year, has launched an urgent appeal for funds.

When first team players – including club legend Steve Fletcher – heard about the school`s plight they couldn`t wait to help and immediately sent the signed shirt.

AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper Jordan Seabright visited the school and said…

“There is a lovely atmosphere at Winchelsea and it is terrible that they are being forced to appeal for funds to survive.

“It has been fantastic meeting all the kids and I hope that the signed shirt we have donated goes a little way to easing some of the school`s problems.”

AFC Bournemouth fans can bid for on the shirt on eBay until Sunday evening by clicking here..

The sale will also be promoted at Winchelsea School`s Christmas Fayre this Saturday, December 3rd from 12-2pm at the School on Guernsey Road, Poole. Doors are open to all members of the public and there will be lots to do for all families including food, raffles and Santa`s Grotto.
