Joe Roach believes that if George Webb and Steve Hutchings are required within the first-team on a more regular basis than they could do a job.

The Cherries transfer embargo could certainly put a strain on the squad, and the youngsters are more than likely having to be invovled, not that this worries Roach.

He told The Daily Echo:

‘I wouldn`t have any hesitation about putting them in.’

Having worked with the pair for 2 years now, Joe is more than aware of the strengths and weaknesses of the two lads:

‘Steve is a really hard working striker. He`s 6ft 2ins and has got potential in terms of his technical qualities… The first team recognised George`s value when he was involved at Morecambe, not just on the pitch, but in and around the players. He`s a good lad and the players really took to him.’

Hutchings and Webb continue the AFCB conveyor belt of talent that has produced Sam Vokes, Brett Pitman, Ryan Pryce, Josh McQuoid, and Joe Partington in just the last couple of seasons, which causes Roach to argue that The Cherries are in the top 4 clubs, outside The Championship, for producing their own players.

As is always the case, not all players make it, however, the club is determined to not just leave them out on a limb. Roach is therefore doing his best for Carl Preston and Jamie Davidson:

‘We`ll send their details out to clubs. They have both been part of the first team and hopefully we can get them to a new club.’
