Goals from James Coutts and Brett Pitman earned the Cherries reserves all 3 points against visitors Yeovil Town this afternoon.

Coutts had an early attempted saved well by Michael Jorden after being put through on goal, but it was Stephen Cooke who did most of the good work in the build up to 1-0: knocking a fine back-heel to Coutts for the midfielder to slot the ball past the keeper from 15 yards.

The match welcomed many young faces with the match well attended with the re-launch of the Junior Cherries. The half time break saw some of the new members taking penalty kicks against the more famous faces of the Cherries squad. Eddie Howe and Warren Cummings saved well, but were eventually embarrassed by the skill and grace of the miniature fanbase.

The start of the second half saw the introduction of Curtis Allen in for Stephen Cooke and the result was pretty much sealed when Brett Pitman broke free from two chasing defenders to strike a fine shot past the onrushing keeper. And it could have been one more for the No.9 as he saw a header graze just past the upright.

Cherries Starting XI
