When Tyrone Mings made the move to the south coast in June 2015, shortly after the Cherries had won promotion from the Championship, the then left-back became the first high profile signing of AFC Bournemouth’s Premier League era and at the time new record signing with an £8million fee agreed with Ipswich Town.
He is now set to depart Dean Court for Aston Villa for a reported fee of in the region of £26.5million according to the Daily Echo.
That fee smashes AFC Bournemouth’s club record fee received for the sale of Matt Ritchie to Newcastle United for £12million.
Mings deal worth £26.5 million.
Not bad for a player that cost #afcb £8 million.

Mings will conclude the deal on Monday but will not be required to undergo a medical due to his recent loan spell with Aston Villa.
The transfer ends the torrid period on the south coast for Mings.
Just minutes into his Premier League debut he suffered a devastating knee injury, surgery followed and 19 months passed before be made another top-flight appearance.
He made 9 Premier League appearances following his return only to succumb to a stress fracture to his spine, which sidelined him for a further 8 months.
Between August 2015 and December 2018 Mings made 17 Premier League appearances for AFC Bournemouth, totalling 863 minutes.
In January he joined Aston Villa on a half-season loan deal for a reported fee of £2million.
Between February and May 2019, Mings made 18 Championship appearances (including the play-offs) for Aston Villa, totalling 1,590 minutes.
Aston Villa would go on to be promoted to the Premier League, with Tyrone Mings achieving cult status at Villa Park. Mings proved to be the catalyst to their promotion push, via the Championship play-offs which have netted them a minimum of £170million and a place back in the top tier of English football.
