Experienced but recently controversial Premier League referee, Chris Foy is the man with the whistle for Saturday’s home match against Norwich.
52 year old Foy, from Merseyside was first appointed to the FL list in 1994 and then added to the ‘Select’ group of refs in 2004. That was the year Foy last reffed Bournemouth for our 1-0 home victory against Wycombe, booking both our Fletchers!
This season has seen Foy embroiled in a number of controversial decisions which maybe why he has been allocated his second successive Championship fixture. Altogether this season, Foy has controlled 14 matches (10 Premier League) and has shown 49 yellows but a higher than average 7 reds. His last game was Derby’s 4-0 victory at Birmingham on Boxing Day.
Here’s hoping Foy has a good game, with no controversies.
