Both Stephen Cooke and Callum Hart are both doubts for Saturdays visit of Gillingham, Stephen Purches has been pencilled in to replace Hart, who is struggling with a hamstring problem.
Purches played 70 minutes of the Weymouth friendly and filled in at left back.
With Hart possibly injured and Cummings admitting he is a long way from first team action, the return of Purches is a very welcome one.
Speaking to the Daily Echo, Sean O’Driscoll said…
‘Stephen is ready to play and he’s our Mr Versatile. Callum Hart has got a bit of a problem with his hamstring so Stephen played most of the game against Weymouth at left-back.
‘He’s played there before and we might need him there on Saturday, and it gets him back in contention.’
