AFC Bournemouth winger Marc Pugh was delighted to return to Cherries starting line-up against Premier League champions Leicester City.
It was the Dean Court favourite’s first Premier League start since the final day of last season away at Manchester United and his first start at home since the defeat to Chelsea in April.
Prior to Tuesday night Pugh had been limited to just two substitute appearances in the Premier League amassing 18 minutes against Stoke City and Burnley.
But against Leicester City, Pugh played the full 90 minutes, scoring the games only goal.
Pugh told afcb.co.uk…
‘…It`s a massive boost for me, especially coming back into the team. It`s been a difficult season personally, but to get a goal on my first start – I`m delighted.
“I`m absolutely buzzing and it`s great just to get the win…’
Speaking to the Daily Echo about how he felt whilst not in the team he added…
‘…The gaffer`s really good at that, If you`re training well and your attitude`s right, he`ll give you a chance and show belief in you.
‘Thankfully, he did that with me – and hopefully I showed it was a good decision.’

Pugh is awesome.
He has played little this season and to come and start a game and play a whole game was amazing.
So proud that we have a player like that on the squad.
Such a nice bloke too. He should be so proud of himself. – Join the conversation here.
