A letter , written to Nick Douch, Chairman of Playershare Ltd by a firm of solicitors, refers in part to Playershare Raffle. It has been forwarded to Paul Frank, who operates the ‘stall’ outside the shop on matchdays with his team of AFCB supporters.

The solicitors state ‘ We do not believe that it is appropriate or constructive that Playershare continue to have a presence at the club. This will take effect before the match against Cheltenham this weekend and continue until further notice. We are sure that the Club and Playershare can revert to cordial relations once the Club is safely out of administration ‘

The Playershare Raffle is independent of Playershare Ltd, but all donations received from supporters have been forwarded to Playershare Ltd. to help strengthen the squad, by helping to fund wage commitments to loan players.

In the five years since its inception, over £47000 has been donated by supporters to the Playershare Raffle.

Paul Frank commented ‘We regret that supporters who wish to make regular donations to this cause are now unable to do so, as we have been advised that we should cease this fund raising initiative immediately. The Playershare Raffle Team would like to thank everyone who has helped support AFCB in this manner during the past five years, and hope we may be able to resume our activities in the future’
