AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale could be set to leave the south coast on loan this week.
Ramsdale made the move to the south coast in January 2017 from Sheffield United, but failed to break into the AFC Bournemouth squad behind Artur Boruc and Ryan Allsop.
During the summer Adam Federici returned from injury and the Cherries spent a reported £8million on Asmir Begovic from Premier League champions Chelsea.
Whilst those four goalkeepers were part of the Cherries pre-season training camp in Spain, Ramsdale was away with England Under 19’s.
The UEFA Under 19’s European Championship was held in Georgia and the age group followed in the footsteps of the Under 20’s squad who won the World Cup.
England defeated Portugal 2-1 in the final, with Ramsdale key to England’s success in winning the tournament.
But despite his international success, Ramsdale is yet to make his debut for the Cherries in the Premier League or in the League Cup.
The Sheffield Star have reported that he could spend the second half of the season out on loan…
‘Chesterfield are reportedly one of the clubs hoping to sign Aaron Ramsdale on loan from Premier League AFC Bournemouth for the rest of the season’
‘fellow League Two side Stevenage were also said to be keen on the young stopper.
Meanwhile, young striker Ben Whitfield has reportedly turned down permanent transfers to both Port Vale and Lincoln City in favour of a longer term loan deal with Port Vale.
The 21 year old striker joined the League Two side in July and has scored 3 times in 20 appearances.
