AFC Bournemouth defender Mitchell Nelson has returned to Dean Court after his loan spell with Lincoln City ended.

The 22 year old who was signed by former manager Eddie Howe in June 2010, is yet to make his debut for the Cherries.

Last season he had a loan spell with Eastbourne, whilst this season he joined Lincoln in September initially on a one month loan deal.

That loan was extended twice and he was partway through his final third month at Sincil Bank when the loan came to an end.

Nelson made 10 appearances in the Conference during his time at Lincoln, picking up one red card.

A brief statement on redimps.co.uk read…

‘Loanee centre-back Mitchell Nelson has returned to AFC Bournemouth midway through his third and final month at Sincil Bank Stadium.

‘Nelson, who made 12 appearances for the Imps, leaves with the best wishes of everyone at the Club.’
