AFC Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell wants to give the Cherries new youth team set-up a push.
Over the summer the Cherries changed the youth set-up at Dean Court, forming an academy and a development squad.
A number of new faces were added to the backroom team with Ross Embleton and John Donoghue taking the roles of Youth Team manager and Head Of Youth, following Paul Groves and Shaun Brooks being given positions in the first team managerial set-up on a permanent basis.
But following their sacking as manager and assistant manager last month, the pair have now returned to their original roles in the youth team.
That has now led to the confusing situation where it would appear that four people are now doing the work of two roles.
Mitchell told the Daily Echo…
“It gives us the opportunity to do as much as possible with the youth team and I think there is work there to do. It is somewhere I want to focus a little bit more in the near future to really get the most out of it and push it along. I think we have got the right people in there to do that.”
