AFC Bournemouth Chairman Eddie Mitchell has praised the Cherries squad for their magnificent achievement.

Mitchell missed the Cherries clinching promotion at Burton after being stranded in Dubai after the flight ban across Europe.

But he returned to Dean Court on Monday and plans for next season are already beginning.

Mitchell told the Daily Echo

‘We certainly won`t be taking our eye off the ball. We could not have asked for any more from the players and management and their achievement has been quite magnificent…’

‘…The core of the team is signed up for next season and Eddie (Howe) will again work within the budget. The budget we played on this season wasn`t particularly low compared with the other teams. Next season, it will be slightly more.

“Our number one aim has got to be consolidating and get the cash inflow and outflow right and then look to add, as and when we can.”
