AFC Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings has reported interest from Premier League rivals Sunderland and Hull City.
The report comes via an article in the Telegraph that lists Mings as one of 20 Premier League players ‘desperate for a move in January’.
They also claim that ‘the 23-year-old could do with regular football to get his career going again’ and list former club Ipswich and Premier League duo Sunderland and Hull as possible destinations.
Mings joined AFC Bournemouth on a four year contract after the Cherries broke their transfer record for the Ipswich defender in June 2015.
The deal was officially undisclosed but reports of a fee in the region of £8million was reported, whilst Cherries winger Ryan Fraser made the move in the opposite direction on a season long loan deal.
AFC Bournemouth striker Brett Pitman also moved to Ipswich on a permanent basis.
Just 6 minutes into his Premier League debut Mings suffered a devastating knee injury and was sidelined for over a year.
He returned this season and is in the process of being converted from a left back to a centre back.
Mings played 105 minutes of the EFL Cup match against Preston and recently played the final moments of the Premier League win over Leicester City.
..thought Mings should have been brought on to combat Arsenal’s lobbing the ball up to Giroud in the last twenty minutes….not sure what he has to do to get some game time ? – Join the conversation here.
