It may well still be March, but AFC Bournemouth have been linked with two players from Bristol City and Celtic respectively.

Transfer speculation is usually a sign that the written media believe that there is little else to discuss, so the good thing in that respect is that AFC Bournemouth are not involved in the relegation battle from the Premier League. The bad news is the transfer speculation is starting early!

First up, is the Bristol Post‘s reports that the Cherries are interested in Bristol City striker Bobby Reid.

They have reported that…

‘The Post understands that Andy Burton, who undertakes a consultancy role for Eddie Howe’s side and is charged with making background and personality checks, recently visited Ashton Gate to see several City stars, while interest from the Cherries has moved up a gear with Howe sending half-brother and Bournemouth first team recruitment scout Steve Lovell to BS3 last weekend to take in the game against Ipswich.’

25 year old Reid has scored 17 goals and claimed 5 assists this season in the Championship and has just one year remaining on his current contract.

Lies, damn lies and stats but at the moment his history makes him look like a one season wonder. I’m sure that doesn’t tell the whole story though.Join the conversation here.

The Daily Mail have reported the Cherries apparent interest in Celtic winger Scott Sinclair.

The former Chelsea, Swansea, Manchester City and Aston Villa attacker has scored 17 goals in 45 appearances this season.

The Mail wrote…

‘Premier League clubs Brighton and Bournemouth are monitoring Scott Sinclair’s situation at Celtic, with a view to offering Scotland’s Player of the Year a return to England this summer.’

Actually I can see this being true.
For a club like us he would be a solid buy,low fee, probably small wages and he has plenty of Premier League experience.
Marc Pugh I think won’t be offered a new deal so this lad would be an ideal replacement .
He must have something about him to have been at the clubs he has been at.
