The Premier League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Southampton this weekend.

Bournemouth host Southampton on Sunday December 18 for the game at Dean Court and the match carries a 1.30pm kick off for screening by Sky Sports.

Referee: Mark Clattenburg
Linesmen: J Collin and S Bennett
Fourth Official: A Marriner

Match Day referee Clattenburg has officiated 17 games in 2016/17 with a return of 64 yellow cards and three red cards.

His highest card count this season was in the Champions League tie between Sevilla and Juventus where he showed seven yellow cards and one red.

He took in 51 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 193 yellow cards and seven red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Bournemouth and Aston Villa on August 8 with a total of seven yellows being shown. That all went out the window though in the Chelsea v Tottenham game that handed Leicester City the title where he showed twelve yellow cards.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.

I think Clatts is far and away the best of a poor bunch and I’m happy he is the one appointed for this local derby.Join the conversation here.
