Not knocking Eddie Howe or his team selection at all, but Lewis Cook must be scratching his head when Dan Gosling is injured and he still can’t get a starting spot ahead of Andrew Surman against Burnley.

Lewis Cook was one of our best players last season, rested against Burnley on the last day of last season so he could have a break before being on standby for international duty for the England squad.

He then signed a new long-term contract with AFC Bournemouth shortly after, but now can’t get in the starting 11…

Did the Cherries buy Jefferson Lerma to only partner Dan Gosling or Andrew Surman? Personally would think our strongest two central midfielders would be Lewis Cook and Jefferson Lerma.

Eddie Howe played without Andrew Surman and Simon Francis last week against Leicester City who are captain and vice-captain, so that wouldn’t be the reason behind it for this selection against Burnley?

..fancy he could be on his way in January? Lewis needs to be playing to have a chance of England selection…I do sometimes have doubts over Eddie’s selections of his ‘apparent favs’…like Francis, Gosling and Surman?? – Join the conversation, click here.
