AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe told the Daily Echo…
“It’s a nice twist to the game, to see those players. Baily was excellent for us and we wish him well in his new adventure.
“Mathieu was a bit before that but it will be great to see him as well.”

If you want a thought about how much our squad has improved look at the ‘reserve side’ that played in Round 2 of the league cup in 2015 v the likely one this year…
2015
Federici
Smith Cargill Distin Mings
Atsu Macdonald Gosling Stanislas
Kermorgant Tomlin
2018
Boruc
Francis Mings Simpson Rico
Ibe Cook Lerma Stanislas
Mousset Defoe
Two thoughts:
This year’s side if you added a centre-half would comfortably stay in the Prem I reckon.
Once Tomlin and Kermorgant got behind the back four was there any hope of catching them?
