AFC Bournemouth are set to submit a new planning application for the land behind the East Stand.

The new plans are expected to be submitted before the end of the month.

The previous plans for 10 houses had been rejected by Bournemouth planning, but Duncan Hillier of Parkcrest is now confident that the amended plans will gain approval.

Duncan Hillier told Bournemouth Buzz

‘…Having gone through all the correct procedures, including quite considerable expenditure on environmental investigation and reporting, we are confident that the LPA’s concerns can both be answered and addressed. Together with the appeal a new application will also be lodged with the LPA before the end of October, which we are confident will gain both the officers and planning committees support…’

If planning is approved, it will mean that the club are set for an injection of funds and he went on to add…

‘…we are most probably looking at about 18 months at the earliest (for funds to be available). The club have already received substantial funds for the land purchase and we have spent considerable time and money to push the process forward in a positive manner and will continue to do so -it is well known that Parkcrest has long been a strong supporter of the club, and that support is continuing through this project.’
