AFC Bournemouth striker Joshua King was pleased to take his chance when it came against Swansea City.

The Norwegian international has made 22 appearances for club and country thus far this season scoring 5 goals.

Three of those goals have come for the Cherries, against Crystal Palace, Watford and Swansea.

Those goals have all contributed to points, with draws against Crystal Palace and Watford and the third in the Cherries 3-0 win over Swansea City.

But King remains in a battle for a starting place alongside fellow strikers Callum Wilson and Benik Afobe.

King told afcb.co.uk after the game…

‘…I started on the bench (against Swansea) but there`s lots of games in this period, you have to take your chance when it comes.

‘Everyone is there for each other and it showed, it`s tough for the manager as there`s big players in this squad and it`s tough to pick a starting 11 each week.

‘I have three goals in three games against Swansea now, that`s what I told the assistant manager (Jason Tindall) so maybe that was why he put me on instead of someone else!’

‘…Hopefully today`s three points will give us confidence going into a big game on Tuesday night against Arsenal.’
