AFC Bournemouth are reportedly set to make a permanent bid for on-loan Tottenham Hotspur defender Cameron Carter-Vickers.
The United States of America international has been on loan on the south coast since the end of the elongated summer transfer window, but only made his debut for the Cherries this week following an ankle injury.
He made his debut during the FA Cup victory over Oldham Athletic and kept his place in the side for the Championship defeat to Luton Town this afternoon.
A permanent switch is now reportedly likely according to BBC Radio Solent reporter Kris Temple after the Cherries reportedly agreed a £750,000 offer from Cardiff City for Jack Simpson, according to Sky Sports reporter Mark McAdam.

Hearing that AFC Bournemouth have accepted a bid believed to be around 750k for defender Jack Simpson from Cardiff City.
The 24 year old is out of contract in the summer and has made 20 league appearances for AFCB since his debut in 2017. #CardiffCity #afcb

Jack Simpson is a product of the AFC Bournemouth youth system and has made 35 appearances in all competitions since making his debut in October 2017 in the Football League Cup.
Two months later he made his Premier League debut against Manchester City and he would go on to make 11 appearances in the top flight of English football, including 6 starts.
Following relegation to the second tier of English football, Simpson has been a regular in the first team and has made 9 appearances in the Championship including 6 starts, the most recent coming just four days ago against Millwall.
Simpson is however out-of-contract at Dean Court at the end of the 2020/21 season.
Your say…
If that’s true (?) then it is probably an upgrade, although that is only based on 2 games from CCV one of which was against League Two opposition.
CCV is right-sided and Simpson left so not directly comparable but we do have a few left-sided defenders. – Join the conversation, click here.
