AFC Bournemouth new signing Emerson Hyndman is looking forward to working with Cherries manager Eddie Howe.

AFC Bournemouth announced the signing of Fulham ‘whizkid’ Emerson Hyndman last month.

Hyndman is a 20 year old midfielder who was out of contract at Fulham before he signed a four year contract at Dean Court, with afcb.co.uk stating that Compensation has been agreed between the two clubs.

The Daily Echo reported that this undisclosed fee will be £750,000.

According to The Sun ‘Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Celtic were monitoring him’, suggesting the signing could be somewhat of a coup for the Cherries.

Hyndman made his debut for Fulham in August 2014 and has since gone on to make 28 appearances for the club. He has also broken through into the full squad for the United States of America making two appearances.

Hyndman is looking forward to get his chance in the top flight of English football and getting the chance to develop under Howe.

Hyndman told Daily Echo

‘Every player playing in England wants to play in the Premier League so I`m really excited to get that opportunity, I see this season as a great opportunity, not just for myself, as the whole club is very much on the rise.

‘We`ve got a great manager, it was good to speak to him and he has a great philosophy on how he wants his team to play – I wanted to be a part of that…’

‘…Everyone at the club has set a good grounding and now he wants to bring some players through and as a young player that`s exactly what you want to hear.

‘It`s a really good opportunity and I want to give my all to AFC Bournemouth.’

I’d not heard of him, but supposedly been tracked by AC Milan and Borrussia Dortmund so must have something about him, fulham forums seem to have good words about him. Seems very much a young Surman, recycles the ball, doesn’t give it away, calm head on young shouldersJoin the conversation here.
