AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe insists that the Cherries will not lose any of their top players over the summer.
Howe’s comments come after speculation linking Norwegian international Joshua King with Tottenham Hotspur.
King is one of the hottest prospects in the Premier League since the turn of the year, netting 12 in 2017 and 17 across the season.
Howe told the Daily Echo…
‘Our vision is very clear for where we want to take the team and what we want to do.
“I have made it clear several times that we need to keep our best players and I have the backing from everybody within the club to do that.”
“His professionalism when he first came into the club struck me, Joshua looked after his body and displayed an incredible appetite to improve. He was coming in on his days off when he wasn`t in the team.
“He would do extra finishing sessions and was pushing himself to find the next bit in his game he needed to work on. You don`t get instant rewards. He has done these things since he joined us and it is paying off now.”
IMHO he is playing out of his skin at the moment in a system the suits him for a manager who demands everything. I too am not sure he would replicate this form somewhere else.
Brian Clough could get performances? from players that no one else could (Gary Birtles to Man U) I think this is similar. – Join the conversation here.
