AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe believes his side will have to be at their best to get past struggling Barnsley.
After losing to another relegation threatened side in Charlton on Tuesday night, a result which lifted them out of the relegation zone, the Cherries travel to the Championship’s bottom club Barnsley.
Barnsley are now three points from safety at the foot of the table, but with Charlton having a turn in fortunes since a change of manager and holding three games in hand, that could see Barnsley cut adrift at the foot of the table in the coming weeks.
Barnsley will look to their home form to get them out of trouble, where they have won two from their last three at home, including a win over play-off hopefuls Nottingham Forest.
The Cherries meanwhile will look to return to the form which has seen them climb from 17th to 12th over the past few weeks.
Howe told the Daily Echo…
“I think it will be a similar test to Charlton. We are going to a team fighting for their lives and will need to be at our best.
“When you look back, we were terrific for the first 30 minutes against Charlton and, for whatever reason, we just didn`t capitalise on our good start and that was the frustrating thing. It really stung to concede so late and with no time to reply so we need to respond to that…’
