AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is hopeful that his side can find some character after four successive defeats.
The Cherries have started the 2017/18 Premier League campaign with defeats to West Bromwich Albion, Watford, Manchester City and Arsenal.
Whilst the latter two games wouldn’t be games that the Cherries would realistically be targeting points, it’s the level of performance that has left the supporters frustrated.
On Friday night, in front of the Sky Sports camera’s at Dean Court, AFC Bournemouth host Brighton & Hove Albion in the top division for the first time and Howe hopes his side can turn things around.
Howe told afcb.co.uk…
‘You don’t sit on zero points if everything’s going great.
‘We have to dig deep and find some character, historically we’ve shown that and we have to show what we’re made of.’
Eddie’s post-match interview from Arsenal says a lot about how fortunate we are to have him at AFCB. Clearly hurting but takes full responsibility when most managers would simply whine and make excuses.
Fair criticism is one thing, and there’s no denying we’ve had a c**p start to the season, but the (over)reaction from some ‘supporters’ on here and elsewhere has been frankly embarrassing.
Eddie & the team deserve our respect and backing – starting with a noisy DC this Friday night! – Join the conversation here.
