AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has revealed that Cherries striker Wes Thomas is likely to leave Dean Court over the next month.
Thomas has been the subject of an early transfer bid by League One side Swindon Town, who rekindled their interest in the forward from the summer.
In August AFC Bournemouth rejected two bids in the region of £125,000 and reportedly rebuffed a third bid earlier this week.
But despite rejecting Swindon’s approach according to local newspapers in Wiltshire, Howe has revealed that Thomas is considering an offer to join Swindon, whilst the Daily Echo believe a number of Championship and League One clubs are also interested.
With just six months on his contact remaining at Dean Court, Howe is allowing Thomas to decide his immediate future.
Howe told the Daily Echo…
“Wes has six months left on his deal here and has a desire to play regular football.
“At the moment, I can`t offer him that guarantee and, because of where he is with his contract situation, I think he will probably move, whether on loan or permanently…’
‘…We have had a number of clubs contacting us regarding his availability and although things will have to be agreed with us, it will be very much up to Wes to decide where his future lies.”
