AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe wants an immediate response from his side following the 3-2 defeat to Burnley.

The Cherries return to Dean Court to host the defending Premier League champions Leicester City, who demolished Manchester City at the weekend.

However, Leicester are not enjoying their defence and are currently two points behind AFC Bournemouth in 14th place.

Leicester also have the worst away record in the division thus far this campaign, they are without a win in seven on the road, drawing once and losing six.

In contrast AFC Bournemouth have the 7th best home record in the Premier League with just one defeat in their last six.

Howe told the Daily Echo

‘You can`t dwell on a negative result – and there were many positives from the performance at Burnley.

‘The key thing for me is that we put it behind us very quickly and then focus on Leicester, because you can`t have any hangover from that game going into this one…’

‘…Every win is so important, If we can get a couple of results together, like we craved last week, then it will do us the world of good.

‘The league is so tight, right from below the top five or six, down to the bottom clubs, so consistency of results is what we`re looking for.’

Converting losses to wins

If we’d have beaten Boro, Sunderland and Burnley like we thought we might, we’d be 5th.

Even if we’d drawn one and won the others we’d be 6th.

My Arsenal-supporting mate is right, we’re a decent side even if we’re wildly inconsistent.
