Eddie Howe has said that he has no intention of selling some of the club`s up and coming young players, in response to speculation linking Celtic with a bid for Emerson Hyndman.
The American midfielder – who joined Cherries from Fulham last summer – has spent part of the season on loan at Glasgow Rangers, turning in a number of good performances and winning Rangers` Young Player of the year award.
National newspapers have claimed that Celtic have already been in contact with the Club regarding Hyndman.
Speaking to the Daily Echo, Eddie Howe said that he was not signing young players only to sell them on not long afterwards.
“We look to bring in young and talented players and develop them to make them better. That is a long-term process. We are delighted with the progress Emerson and Lewis [Cook] are making,”
“It is great to see Emerson doing so well on loan with Rangers and Lewis has performed excellently since being given his opportunity.”
Howe is pleased with Lewis Cook`s progress so far.
“Lewis is developing in line with our expectations. If he continues to perform like he has recently, he is going to go into next season in really good shape” he said.
