AFC Bournemouth striker Tokelo Rantie is set to begin his African Cup Of Nations tournament this evening.

The Cherries striker is set to feature for South Africa as they face Algeria this (Monday) evening.

All of South Africa’s Group C matches are being hosted at the Estadio de Mongomo stadium in Mongomo, Equatorial Guinea.

South Africa’s second match in the group against Senegal is on Friday, before the final match of the group comes on the 27th against Ghana.

If South Africa progress beyond the group stages, their Quarter-finals match will take place on 1st February against one of Ivory Coast, Mali, Cameroon or Guinea.

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe told

“We have missed TK, That`s not just because of his ability but also for his infectious character around the place. We love working with him.

“We wish him well and hope he comes back fit and firing for what will be an important run in for us.

“I have no doubt he will have a good tournament because he is a good player…’

“…We always knew this was on the horizon and that we were going to lose him, which doesn`t make it any easier from our perspective, but thankfully we are winning games without him…”
