AFC Bournemouth will travel to Chelsea in the Quarter-Final of the EFL Cup (formally League Cup).

The draw for the Carabao Cup Quarter Finals proved controversial.

After being advertised as a live draw on Twitter, a pre-recorded video was eventually posted an hour and a half after the draw was supposed to have taken place.

Technical issues were sighted for the embarrassing problem, however the Football League and sponsors would have been delighted with the convenient draw that kept the four biggest sides in the competition apart.

With the other ties being Arsenal v West Ham United, Leicester City v Manchester City, Bristol City v Manchester United.

Prior to the Premier League defeat to Chelsea on Saturday, Howe told the Daily Echo

“In any cup competition, you always hope for a home draw, especially for the supporters.

“Although we are away to Chelsea, it is not too far to travel for a midweek game and I know our fans will turn out in their numbers.

“Stamford Bridge holds special memories for them and us after the win there in our first season in the Premier League.

“It is one of the toughest draws possible but a game we will really look forward to.
