AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is hopeful that defender Tyrone Mings could be close to returning to fitness from a back injury.
Mings had made three appearances during the current 2017/18 campaign, with all three seeing Mings named in the starting XI.
The first came in the EFL Cup against Birmingham City, but the other two appearances came in the Premier League as AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe adopted a three at the back formation.
That saw Mings operate on the left hand side of a three man defence alongside Nathan Ake and Steve Cook.
However the 24 year old was forced off at half time against Arsenal in September and is yet to return.
Howe told the Daily Echo…
“Tyrone is getting closer. He is building up his fitness levels. His back, touch wood, seems much improved so he`s on the right lines.
“It will take him a while to build up his fitness but with the amount of games we have coming up, you don`t know what is round the corner.
‘He needs to be ready as quickly as we can get him.”
I think if we can keep mings fit , he will be a brilliant player .
He has shown some class in the little time we have seen him .
He’s a very vocal player also which is good.
You need tall defender’s in the premier league.
He’s still a good age too . – Join the conversation here.
