AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe believes new signing Emerson Hyndman has the potential to have a big future with the Cherries.

AFC Bournemouth announced the signing of Fulham ‘whizkid’ Emerson Hyndman earlier this month.

Hyndman is a 20 year old midfielder who was out of contract at Fulham this summer.

He signed a four year contract at Dean Court, with stating that Compensation has been agreed between the two clubs.

The Daily Echo reported that this undisclosed fee will be £750,000.

According to The Sun ‘Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Celtic were monitoring him’, suggesting the signing could be somewhat of a coup for the Cherries.

Hyndman made his debut for Fulham in August 2014 and has since gone on to make 28 appearances for the club. He has also broken through into the full squad for the United States of America making two appearances.

Howe told the Daily Echo

“He is a talented young player who is highly thought of in the game. He is very good technically.

“He played for Fulham at the end of last season and did very well for them after getting his breakthrough.

“He is a player of huge potential who we see coming in and developing under us and, hopefully, having a big future with the club.”

“No doubt he had other options and I know he was linked with other clubs.

“Hopefully, he sees us as a progressive and ambitious club which prides itself on improving and developing players and that tipped the balance in our favour…’

I’d not heard of him, but supposedly been tracked by AC Milan and Borrussia Dortmund so must have something about him, fulham forums seem to have good words about him. Seems very much a young Surman, recycles the ball, doesn’t give it away, calm head on young shouldersJoin the conversation here.
