AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has once again praised the Cherries travelling support following the teams trip to Premier League side Wigan in the FA Cup.
Over 2,700 AFC Bournemouth supporters made the trip to the DW Stadium, boosting the crowds attendance to over 8,000.
With the home sides support sparsely populating the two stands along the side of the pitch, the Cherries supporters made the game feel more like a home match creating a wonderful atmosphere for the Cherries to pull off a shock and get a 1-1 draw.
Howe told afcb.co.uk…
“They were immense for us and it was fantastic to see. They gave the lads extra energy and incentive to perform and I was really pleased they saw Eunan O`Kane`s goal close up. It was a goal worthy of winning any game.
“It was like we transported the North Stand to the North West and we are all very appreciative of the support and very thankful for their efforts.
“I hope we get a good turn out for the replay now and that they get right behind us again.”
