AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is pleased to have added new players to the Cherries development squad.
Ahead of the transfer window closing this (Friday) evening, the Cherries have been busy adding players to the squad.
As well as the significant signing of Yann Kermorgant to the first team, the Cherries have also signed a trio of promising young players.
Earlier in the week the signing of 18 year old forward Josh O’Hanlon was confirmed from League of Ireland side Longford Town.
On Thursday, 18 year old Chelsea defender Jonathan Muleba joined the squad, whilst on Friday academy youngster Ben Whitfield joined from Conference North side Guiseley.
Howe told afcb.co.uk…
“It`s important that if you`re going to have a development squad and believe in young players, you have to do it properly, The players who have come in aren`t here to take the place of our own young players, but to enhance the group and raise the standard of training.
“Then the aim is that if we have injuries in the first team, we can call on the development squad players but we needed to make that group better in order to do that.”
