AFC Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban has returned from his loan spell with Sunderland.

Grabban joined Sunderland on loan in July and has scored 12 goals in 19 Championship appearances.

This was his second loan spell during his second stint at Dean Court.

He returned to AFC Bournemouth for an undisclosed fee on 11th January 2016, which was reportedly in-excess of £6million according to Mark McAdam from Sky Sports.

Grabban signed a three and a half year deal, but has only made 22 appearances for the Cherries, including just 4 Premier League starts and a single League Cup goal.

In January 2017 he joined Championship side Reading on a half season loan deal, playing 19 times as the Berkshire side reached the play-offs.

It is rumoured that he could be set to make a permanent move to Fulham.

What’s weird is all the Sunderland fans saying ‘sure he scored goals but he never ran anywhere or did any work so will be better replaced by someone that will try at least’. Grabban’s scoring was sometimes patchy but you could always rely on him to work for you! Seems a strange turnaround.

He was poor last season for an over achieving side and although he’s got more goals (and more minutes on the pitch to score them) this season, he still isn’t the quality required. Look at where Sunderland are in the table and tell me he’s part of a good side there. Look at Reading and tell me now everyone has worked them out that he was part of a good side last season

Wolves are stupid, going up and signing him but we will take the 8 million. If not bump him back off to Sunderland or Reading. At least he will be off our wage bill
