AFC Bournemouth midfielder Dan Gosling wants to agree a new contract to stay at Dean Court beyond 2018.

AFC Bournemouth agreed the signing of Dan Gosling in May 2014, with the midfielder signing a four year deal after making the move to Dean Court on a free transfer.

Gosling is now set to enter the final year of that contract with the Cherries.

During his time on the south coast AFC Bournemouth have won promotion to the Premier League and maintained their status as a top flight team for a third successive year.

But despite the 27 year old only making 43 league starts in three seasons, the midfielder wants to remain at Dean Court beyond his current contract.

Gosling told the Daily Echo

‘…For any player, if you have one year left on your contract, you are looking towards what happens next,

‘It would be great if I could extend my stay here. I have really enjoyed it so far, I am settled, I like living here and the club is going from strength to strength…

‘…This is a great place to improve, with the manager and coaching staff here, I get on well with the lads and I want to stay, for sure.’

This season Gosling made 27 Premier League appearances, totalling 1,358 minutes.

Your Say…

He has been excellent for us and of all our midfielders, he is the one who gets his fair share of goals.

He’s quietly been a top quality signing especially on a free transfer and is certainly one of our unsung heroes.
