AFC Bournemouth new signing Emerson Hyndman is tipped to be a success on the south coast, by the backroom staff who have just lost him.
AFC Bournemouth announced the signing of Fulham ‘whizkid’ Emerson Hyndman last week.
Hyndman is a 20 year old midfielder who was out of contract at Craven Cottage this summer.
He has signed a four year contract at Dean Court, with afcb.co.uk stating that Compensation has been agreed between the two clubs.
The Daily Echo have reported that this undisclosed fee will be £750,000.
According to The Sun ‘Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Celtic were monitoring him’,suggesting the signing could be somewhat of a coup for the Cherries.
Hyndman made his debut for Fulham in August 2014 and has since gone on to make 28 appearances for the club. He has also broken through into the full squad for the United States of America making two appearances.
Fulham`s head of recruitment Malcolm Elias told the Daily Echo…
“Emerson is very gifted technically and will enjoy playing alongside Andrew Surman, one of the boys I helped to bring through at Southampton.
“I would say they are similar. They are both clever, good on the ball with good awareness and creativity. They will be on the same wavelength.
“Despite being young, Emerson has the knack of being able to control the tempo of a game and I have not known many players have that capability so early in their careers…’
“…He is definitely Eddie`s (Howe) type of player. Personally, I think he will be a great loss to Fulham and a fantastic signing (for AFC Bournemouth) because he is the type of intelligent, technical player that will thrive in Bournemouth`s environment…”
I’d not heard of him, but supposedly been tracked by AC Milan and Borrussia Dortmund so must have something about him, fulham forums seem to have good words about him. Seems very much a young Surman, recycles the ball, doesn’t give it away, calm head on young shoulders – Join the conversation here.
