Former AFC Bournemouth director Tom Mitchell has left the Cherries.

Tom Mitchell, son of former owner and chairman Eddie Mitchell had been involved with the Cherries since his father became involved in the club in 2009.

A former non league footballer for Dorchester Town (during Eddie Mitchell’s ownership), Tom regularly trained with the AFC Bournemouth first team and made several appearances for the reserves.

He would go on to become a director of AFC Bournemouth at the age of 23 and would later become the clubs director of football, a roll he discussed in a previous interview in November 2011.

Mitchell then became manager of youth football operations, signing a contract just prior to his father selling his stake in the club to Russian businessman Maxim Demin.

According to the Daily Echo that contract has now expired and Mitchell has left the club.
