AFC Bournemouth legend Steve Fletcher returned to Dean Court at the weekend for the first time since his departure over the summer.

His name was sang around the ground during the first and second half and he told the Daily Echo

‘…It was my club for 15 years and I don’t want to see them at the bottom of the league. We were languishing around the bottom in my last two seasons but managed to get out of trouble. It’s different now because they have started slowly and the fans don’t want another year of struggle.’

‘I spent 90 per cent of my career at one club and nobody can ever take that out of me. Things change though and I’m really enjoying what I’m doing now. It’s been a breath of fresh air and maybe just what I needed.’
