AFC Bournemouth’s trip to Yeovil Town for their FA Cup third-round fixture on Saturday 8th January, will now kick-off at 5.45 pm as it will be shown on the BBC Red Button.
The last time AFC Bournemouth travelled to Huish Park was in 2014, when both sides were in the second tier of English football. Since that game, a 1-1 draw, the Cherries went on to spend five seasons in the top flight of English football in the Premier League, whilst Yeovil suffered three relegations and fell through the Championship, League One and League Two and are now mid-table in the National League.
This season’s FA Cup will be exclusive to both the BBC and ITV, meaning all games will be free-to-air on terrestrial television.
The FA Cup tie, isn’t AFC Bournemouth’s only upcoming game on TV, with the Cherries next three Championship fixtures also on television.
Rounding off December, the Cherries feature on Sky twice, with our visit to Loftus Road to face Queens Park Rangers rearranged for Monday 27th December at 5.30 pm as that will also be shown on Sky Sports Football and the home game against Cardiff City on Thursday 30th December at 7.45 pm being shown on the Sky Sports red button service, as will the home game against Peterborough United on 3rd January 2022 (7.45 pm).
Coverage on Sky Sports Football’s red button service (and app) usually includes one static camera with one commentator. There are normally no replays of the action or multiple camera angles as these are available via EFL Clubs streaming services.
In January in addition to the Peterborough United and Yeovil games, our trip to Luton Town will also be featured on Sky Sports, the game will now take place on Saturday 15th January with an earlier kick-off time of 12:30 pm.
AFC Bournemouth have made a few appearances on Sky Sports already this season, starting with the opening game of the season against West Bromwich Albion at Dean Court and then again for the visit of Queens Park Rangers to the south coast. Three away games then followed with the trips to Stoke City, Peterborough United (red button) and Reading all shown on television.
The home fixture against Preston North End was also shown on the red button, before four more away trips were shown on Sky, Derby County, Millwall (red button), Fulham and Middlesbrough.

Is Yeovil away still an open terrace with just a few basic catering facilities on open-air tarmac around the back?
If so, if the match goes ahead with fans, and if you were worried about attending football because of covid, you couldn’t come up with a better ventilated setting for a match. Assuming you’re happy/able to stand for 2 hours, that is. – Join the conversation, click here.
