AFC Bournemouth captain Tommy Elphick believes the Cherries must concentrate on themselves ahead of the game with Norwich City.
The former Premier League club head to Dean Court managerless following the resignation of manager Neil Adams on Monday.
Seventh placed Norwich are only three points adrift of the play-off places and before defeat to Reading at the end of December had been undefeated in their last four, winning three and had climbed back into play-off contention from mid-table.
Mike Phelan looks set to take charge of the side ahead of the possible appointment of Hamilton Academical player-manager Alex Neil.
Elphick told the Daily Echo…
‘…With the squad Norwich have, they probably expected to be in the top two and were favourites to go up in many people`s eyes.
“You still expect them to be there or thereabouts with the talent they have so it will be interesting to see what sort of appointment they make.
“But for now, we have to make sure we concentrate on ourselves.
‘They are probably not where they want to be in the league and might come here lacking a bit of confidence. They will be out to prove a point to the new manager and to us…’
