Reserve team boss Eddie Howe was boosted by the return of Karl Broadhurst during Wednesday nights reserves emphatic 5-0 victory against Aldershot at Dean Court. Howe, who in addition to Karl Broadhurst fielded a team of teenagers told the Daily Echo after the game: ‘Karl did well and looked better and better as the game wore on. We’re a bit thin on the ground in that area so it’s a great boost to have him back.’

Eddie was also pleased with the performances of his 2 teenage strikers Sam Vokes and Brett Pitman, adding ‘In Brett and Sam, we’ve got two youngsters who are pushing the first-team lads and that’s exactly what we want.’
