Draw Stops Rot

The Cherries missed the opportunity to get their first home league win of the season.

Bournemouth took the lead twenty minutes into the first half thanks to good work from Paul Telfer. Screaming down the right, Telfer showed signs of the player we hoped he would be, smashed the ball across goal; it hit three of four players and fell into the path of Jo Kuffour who scored from six yards.

Despite not really being tested too much, another defensive error saw two points lost.
Just ten minutes remaining and the visitors got an equaliser. Darren Wrack was not closed down and managed to score from the right with relative ease.

The Cherries could have wrapped up the game in the final few with three excellent chances, but Bradbury and Vokes were not quite quick enough to react under pressure and Clayton Ince also played his part once again.

Looking at it from a positive point of view we did earn a point and thus ended the six game losing streak for home league fixtures this season.

Bournemouth: Moss, Telfer, Cooper, Gowling, Wilson, Lallana (Pitman 68), Anderton (Vokes 83), Karacan, Hollands, Kuffour, Bradbury.

Cherries fans are feeling more positive.
Leaprobe says?

A lot better performance, shame about the finishing, should have been at least 4-1. Some real positives all we need now is a striker that knows how to put the ball in the back of the net.

But still concerned about the lack of goals
Mentalmark says?.

Good performance, only poor composure from Bradbury cost us. Good tactical switch by Bond for the formation change, we created so many more chances, so credit to Bond for that. Shame he didn’t see that we needed Vokes on a lot sooner though.
and Adie added…Bond is a clown. How the hell can ANYONE be happy with that performance and result? We defended a 1-0 lead for 40 minutes of the second half and got what we deserved.
