AFC Bournemouth striker Frank Demouge insists he wants to fight for his place in the Cherries squad.
The Dutch striker, who suffered another injury set back in Tuesday`s development squad game with Exeter, taking a knock to the calf, has made just two appearances for the club since his move from FC Utrecht in Holland and has failed to break into the Cherries match day squad since the return of AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe from Burnley.
The 30 year old striker however understands that he needs to work hard to break into the side, especially when the side remains a winning one and he hopes to be ready to take his chance when it comes.
Demouge told the afcb.co.uk…
“…It is really tough. In my whole career I have never really sat on the bench, I have always played.
‘At the moment I am not even on the bench so you feel a little bit useless because you want to show yourself.
‘I am a fighter though and I want to fight for my place. I know it is going to be hard getting into a winning team, but I also know there will be chances and I want to be there to grab them.’
