AFC Bournemouth left back Charlie Daniels is hopeful that he can now kick start his Championship campaign with the Cherries.

The Cherries defender has been suffering from plantar fasciitis which is an inflammation of the ligament that surrounds the heel.

Daniels was sent to see a specialist in Italy after he broke down for a second time with the injury against Barnsley last month, which was only his fifth league appearance of the season.

Daniels told afcb.co.uk

“I had a tear in my fascia and the idea was to go out there and get treatment before I came back here to start running, I had plenty of treatment out there and got it fixed, so now I can start building up the muscle in my foot.

“It is probably the worst injury I have ever had in terms of pain and the annoyance it has caused and it`s meant I have had a stop start season…’

“…I had to do a lot before training and games just to get through it, but thankfully it`s all healed now and I can get on with working my way back to full fitness.”
