AFC Bournemouth left back Charlie Daniels was disappointed following the Cherries heavy defeat to Huddersfield Town.

Following a run of seven games unbeaten in the Premier League, the Cherries had climbed up the table from the relegation places to as high as 9th following last weekends victory over Stoke City.

Victory over Huddersfield Town would have seen the Cherries maintain that place, extend their lead over the bottom three to nine points and would have began to close down on a potential UEFA Europa League qualifying place.

But a poor performance, saw Huddersfield Town, who themselves were in the relegation zone at kick off go on to take the points in emphatic style with a 4-1 win.

Daniels told afcb.co.uk

‘We weren’t good enough, on and off the ball we lost too many challenges and it costs you.

‘We know it was nowhere near good enough and far below the standard we’ve set ourselves.

‘We got some unbelievable support today, to see just how many people made the journey we can only apologise and we can’t thank them enough for coming, hopefully we can put things right for them.’

2nd best at everything

Shocking passing out of defence all afternoon.
2nd best in every tackle.
Harried out of possession everytime.

Worst performance of the season

From a chance to banish all worries, we will now have to make sure we beat Newcastle
