New AFC Bournemouth signing Charlie Daniels is looking forward to a new challenge at Dean Court.

The Cherries agreed a fee reportedly in the region of £200,000 with League One rivals Leyton Orient on Wednesday and the 25 year old agreed personal terms and signed on Thursday.

Daniels will initially join AFC Bournemouth on loan and then complete a permanent switch in January when the transfer window opens.

Daniels has already agreed a three and a half year contract with the Cherries and the left back is looking forward to fighting for his place alongside Warren Cummings and Scott Malone.

Daniels told afcb.co.uk

‘I know this club has changed in the last few months and I know how much it wants to go forward and progress. I’ve played against Bournemouth a few times and they play some great football, including earlier this season at Orient when they played some fantastic football…’

‘…I have been a regular and played over 150 games for Orient and touch wood have been able to stay away from injuries. I know I’ll have to fight for my place but I am confident that I can continue to be a regular and look to have a good run in the side. I had a few fantastic years at Orient and they were great to me and I can’t speak highly enough of them, the gaffer, the chairman and the staff, but I felt it was time for a fresh start and the move to Bournemouth was first spoken about last week, and I wanted to come here. I’m a London lad, and it is a big step to move away, but at the end of the day, you move to where you are wanted. The fact I have moved away from London doesn’t bother me and I’m really looking forward to the challenge.’
